Boeing's would-be partner Embraer scores $15 billion in regional jet orders at Farnborough

July 20, 2018

After stalled sales and a canceled order this spring, Embraer surprised observers at this week’s Farnborough Airshow with about $15 billion in new regional jet orders and commitments.

The biggest deal involved Republic Airways, which signed a letter of intent to buy 100 E175 passenger jets and took options on another 100, Embraer said.

That deal alone will be worth $9.3 billion at list prices, if all the aircraft are acquired by the regional airline, the Brazilian jet maker said.

It’s good news…
