The 525,000-square-foot future home of Amazon.com Inc. in Boston’s Seaport District and the accompanying Harbor Square Park were approved by the Boston Civic Design Commission Tuesday evening.
Amazon in May confirmed that it plans to hire 2,000 tech workers at the 17-story office project, currently dubbed Seaport Square Parcel L4.
Seattle-based Amazon has said the office is separate from the ongoing search for a $5 billion, 8 million-square-foot second North American headquarters.
